America, It's Now Time To Be United

February 23, 2003

A grave time in history has come upon us.  A battle rages for freedom and our way of life.  Now, as never before, we must unite.  (“Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand.  Matthew 12:25.)

Although we have freedom of speech, this is not the time for political criticisms or preferences.  It is a time to think what is best for America, not a particular party.  Our very existence is at stake.  It is time for everyone concerned to support the president, others in leadership and military personnel.  Controversy destroys confidence and defeats success.  Protesting, criticizing and complaining bring discouragement to those giving their lives to preserve our freedoms.

The very best of our young men and women are giving their lives to protect you and me.  Think of those families who are telling their sons, husbands and fathers “Good-bye.”  Some may never be seen again.  Knowing this, what can you and I do to help and support these brave men and women?

This is not the time to be quiet.  There are those who are determined to take God out of our nation, our schools, our money, our traditions, and out of our lives.

Take a stand today and pray continually.  Pray Psalm 112 for President Bush.  He carries a tremendous responsibility upon his shoulders for the survival of this nation.  Pray for wisdom for him and those who surround him with counsel.

Please pray for those in the military.  Pray for their safety and protection.  Support this country with your prayers, encouragement, patriotism and undaunted united loyalty.

We are not mad at anyone.  We are simply living in the greatest land on planet earth.  We have been blessed with “life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.”  The enemies of America want to destroy that.  So does our spiritual enemy.

United we stand.  Divided we fall!
